Therapeutic Massage Built Around Your Body — Not a Routine.

Because two people can point to the same painful area and need completely different things.

Maybe some of it helped. But you’re still here.

Maybe you’ve already tried physical therapy. Maybe you have stretches saved on your phone. Maybe you’ve had massage before.

But your back, hip, knee, neck or shoulder keeps finding its way back into the conversation.

You’re tired of constantly asking yourself:

  • How far can I walk?
  • Will this make it worse?
  • How am I going to feel tomorrow?
  • Should I do the exercises or rest it?
  • Is this just what getting older feels like?

You don’t necessarily need another treatment done to you. You may need someone willing to slow down long enough to understand what is happening with you.

That is how I approach therapeutic massage.

Book Your First Session

This Isn’t About Giving Everyone With Back Pain the Same Back Massage.

Pain is personal. Your history, the way you move, what aggravates your symptoms — and what you actually want to be able to do again — are all personal. So I don’t begin with “Which massage would you like?” I begin with:

“Tell me what’s happening.”

What I’ll ask you

  • What hurts? When does it happen?
  • What have you already tried?
  • What helped? What didn’t?
  • What are you avoiding because you’re worried about aggravating it?
  • What would you be doing differently if you weren’t thinking about the problem so often?

That last question matters. I want to know what pain is stopping you from doing.

Maybe what you want is very ordinary

  • Walk the dog without calculating the distance
  • Get out of the car without bracing yourself first
  • Garden, and sleep more comfortably
  • Sit through dinner without constantly repositioning
  • Travel without worrying about the flight, hotel bed or walking
  • Get down on the floor with your grandchildren — and get back up

You don’t need to become an athlete. You want your ordinary physical freedom back.

How I Work

Listen → Assess → Treat → Teach → Adapt

1. Listen

We start with you: your history, symptoms, previous treatment, concerns, goals — and what you want your body to let you do again.

2. Assess

The painful spot matters, but may not be the whole story. I look at how you move and where you hold tension. I’m not diagnosing — I’m making the session truly individual.

3. Treat

25+ years of hands-on experience: massage, movement, stretching or other techniques where appropriate. You don’t need to know which modality you need. That’s my job.

4. Teach

I’ll explain what I’m noticing and share practical things to consider outside the treatment room. Ask questions. You are part of the process.

5. Adapt

Your body can change from one appointment to the next. If something isn’t helping, we don’t keep doing it because it’s “the protocol.” We reassess and adapt.

“But I’ve already had massage.”

Then you know all massage is not the same. Maybe it felt wonderful but did little once you left. Maybe someone just worked harder on the spot that hurt — and you left sorer. This isn’t about the deepest massage you can tolerate, or the same sequence for everyone. The treatment, the pressure and the techniques should each have a reason — and relate to you.

“What if physical therapy helped?”

Great. This isn’t an argument against PT. Perhaps you improved considerably, but something still feels unresolved, or the exercises began to feel generic. You may simply want an additional hands-on approach from someone who looks carefully at your situation. Sometimes you need another skilled person on your team.
